No. 2366, with four nickel-plated cylinders playing six airs each, accompanied by nine optional engine-turned bells with bird finials and polychrome butterfly strikers, with 123 teeth in music and nine teeth in percussion comb (both complete, three neat tip repairs visible in percussion comb), reeded and polished bedplate stamped "B", governor-cock stamped "C.P. & C.", zither attachment, replica tune-sheets, book-matched burr-walnut veneered case with tulipwood banding (on back as well as front, sides and lid), ormolu handles and matching table with drop-front cylinder-storage drawer and cabriole legs, wd. table 47 in. (120 cm) at widest point, cylinders 13 ¾ x approx. 2 ½ in. (35 x 6,4 cm), old splits in table, lid slightly bowed, movement in excellent restored playing condition. - The four cylinders offer a fine program of twenty-four operatic, dance and popular melodies, including arias from "La Sonnambula" by Bellini and "Il Trovatore" by Verdi, selections from the operas "William Tell", "Faust", "L'Africaine" and Offenbach's operetta "La Vie Parisienne", national airs as "La Marseillaise" and "Die Wacht am Rhein" and Johann Strauss' "Wine, Women and Song". - An exhibition-quality musical box with lively, well-arranged airs.
