3 Multiplier Cameras, c. 1940ÿ46

During the war, amateur photographers reported that although 35 mm or rollfilm was rarely available to them, plates were always available. This may be the reason why the multiplier cameras, originating from Denmark, were able to obtain four 32.5 x 41 mm exposures on 6 x 9 cm plates by rotating the front plate with a front focusing lens. These two cameras would even be suitable for stereo with a base width of 4.5 cm, and the designers also placed great importance on good design. 1) Model Vidar 4.5/5 cm with four smooth stripes as sight marks, back with inserted cassette. ÿ 2) Model Victar 4.5/5 cm with triangular sight marks, with focusing screen back. ÿ And: 3) Unfinished prototype for nine 26 x 35 mm exposures on 9 x 12 cm plates. As previously planned, the construction was designed for a 5 cm lens. The narrow lens support plate connects to the protective slider at the three possible levels by clicking into place; the bulge on the support plate serves to facilitate handling. Another blank of the support plate is included, without pre-drilled holes for the lens.
